About Focusvo
Focusvo is three free worksheets and a paid register for the US business that has to make its website accessible. The worksheets size the fix, price the audit and date the statement from that business's own figures; the workspace keeps every issue against its page and its WCAG criterion, every audit with its retest, and every version of the statement it published.
Why this site exists
This site exists because the first thing a business does after a demand letter is ask three suppliers what it will cost, and none of them can answer without seeing the site, so the business spends a fortnight learning what it should have been able to work out in an afternoon from its own page count.
Who it is for
The owner, marketing lead or web manager of a US business whose website has to be accessible, after a demand letter, a procurement questionnaire asking for a VPAT, a redesign, or a public-sector contract that names Section 508 - and the agency or developer answering those questions on their behalf
Not a building owner meeting the ADA's premises rules, not an employer handling a reasonable accommodation, not somebody claiming disability benefits, and not a disabled person choosing a screen reader or a hearing aid
What it does not do
- No overlay and no widget: this product changes nothing on your site, because the run-time fix is the one that has been litigated
- No compliance certificate and no badge, because no product can certify a website as ADA compliant and selling that certainty would be the dishonest part
- No legal advice: the duty, the deadlines and the demand letter are for your lawyer, and the figures you enter are yours
What is on this site
3 free tools, each working its figure on the page with no account, and Focusvo Pro that keeps the record. All tools · Pricing.
- Website ada compliance checklist: Turn your page count, template count and failing WCAG criteria into the issues, the hours and what the fix actually costs.
- Accessibility audit report: Turn the sample share, the auditor's rate and the retest rate into what an audit costs and how many pages nobody opens.
- Accessibility statement template: Turn your open issues and the rate you close them into the review date, the outstanding count and when conformance can honestly be claimed.
What Focusvo Pro keeps
The sheet sizes the job this afternoon. Pro keeps it: the issues as a register rather than a spreadsheet somebody emailed, so the retest can be run against the same list the audit produced.
Who answers for it
Joe Ellul, Director, Ellul Solutions Ltd, the company that operates Focusvo.
